Kilt Flashes - Tartan Kilt Hose Flashes

Kilt flashes are the small tartan fabric strips that show at the top of your kilt hose, held in place by garters. They're not just there to look good either. Their real job is to keep the garters hidden and secured, so your hose stays up properly throughout the day without the garter showing underneath. Every pair we make is handmade in acrylic wool, and if you need a specific clan tartan that isn't already listed, we can make it for you too.

Materials & Craftsmanship

We use acrylic wool to make our flashes. They come in different colours and can be worn for a long period of time. Colour accuracy is also monitored closely where you can select for your matching kilt hose.

Matching Flashes to Your Outfit

As a general rule, your kilt socks flashes should match your kilt tartan. That said, some people prefer to pick a contrasting tartan instead, just for a bit of visual interest against the rest of the outfit. Both approaches work, it really comes down to the look you're going for.
