Return & Exchange Policy

We value our customers and strive to provide a fair and transparent return and exchange process.

30-Day Return & Exchange Policy (Manufacturer Fault Only)

We offer 100% return or exchange within 30 days of delivery only for manufacturer faults related to sizing, color, or craftsmanship.

• It is the customer’s responsibility to provide accurate sizing at the time of order. If incorrect sizing is submitted by the customer, no refund or exchange will be issued.
• Any return or exchange must be requested within 30 days of receiving the product.

Custom-Made Items – Non-Refundable & Non-Exchangeable

All kilts, jackets, accessories, and musical instruments are custom-made to order, which means they are non-refundable and non-exchangeable except in the following cases:

• Item not made according to specifications provided by the customer.
• Clear evidence of manufacturing damage or error.

In such cases, we will offer a full refund or replacement depending on customer preference.

Shipping Damage – Courier Liability

If an item is damaged during shipping, the courier company is responsible, not us.

• We package all items with care and assist in opening a damage claim with the courier.
• The customer must file a damage report directly with the courier, per their policy.
• Refunds for courier-related damage are provided only by the courier and if the claim is approved.

Custom Tartan Kilts

Kilts made with custom tartan fabric are non-refundable. However:

• If there is a sizing issue or the kilt arrives damaged, we will send a replacement.
• Worn or damaged kilts due to improper use are not eligible for refund.

How to Request a Return or Exchange

To request a return or exchange, you must:

1. Email us at support@theutilitykilt.com
2. Include:
   • Your order number
   • Your full name
   • A clear explanation of the issue
   • A short video showing the issue

Without this information, a refund or exchange cannot be processed.

Return Shipping Instructions

• Items must be returned within 30 days of receiving the order.
• Items must be returned in original, undamaged condition.
• For exchanges, we must receive the original item first before sending a replacement.

If eligible for a refund:

• Refunds processed within 7–10 business days after evaluation.
• We refund both the item cost and original shipping cost.
